VIKING ARCHERY
Serving the archery community for over 55 years
Established in 1963 by Tim and Lannie Whiteford, Viking Archery is a family owned, family run business in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Joined by sons Kevin and Scott, the Whitefords operate the only complete Archery only facility in Texas. It is also the first Archery Lane Operators Association (ALOA) facility in Texas. Our passion for and experience in archery allows us to help every archer, no matter what their skill level or style, to find exactly what they need to enjoy archery at its best.
Our experience is not from sales alone - we also have designed and manufactured bows, arrows, sights, stabilizers, release aids, strings, and string changers. We hold patents on several designs specific to the archery industry. Viking Compound Bows have been manufactured for 40 years. We understand the mechanics of archery.
We also have a passion for the sport itself. We have USA Archery Level 4 instructors who share their passion with upcoming generations at our weekly Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) courses. Over 10,000 have been taught through this program. As a member of the Pope & Young Club we are official measurers. We have Sectional, State, National, and World awards in archery. Viking Archery has sponsored shooting teams in international and national tournaments and in various styles including Bow Hunter, Field Archery, and 3D Archery.Located in the beautiful landscape of the Texas Hill Country, Viking Archery has created a perfect atmosphere for Archers of all styles to come and hone their skills. Having an indoor and outdoor range with both flat and 3-D targets, our facility has hosted all types of indoor and outdoor archery events, including several state championships, and the Texas Bow Hunter Jamboree. We also established and implemented many league programs.
