FUN OUTINGS AT VIKING ARCHERY
The beauty of the Texas Hill Country and the fun of Archery combine for wonderful outings and events
Our facility has been designed and is available for all archers to come and hone their skills on both our indoor and outdoor range. Rental equipment is available for the indoor shooting range and every Wednesday evening we hold adult archery classes at 6:30. We also welcome groups and have hosted many tournaments at our ranges. The avid archer and the novice to the sport are both welcome to come and enjoy our various archery ranges and targets. Our facility is at your disposal to bring a group, a family, or just yourself. We can think of no better way to spend a beautiful Texas day than in the country shooting with friends and family.
JOAD PROGRAM
Viking Archery has been actively training the next generations through the Junior Olympic Archery Development program (JOAD). JOAD is a program of USA Archery that teaches archery to young people, provides great opportunities for awarding achievement, and helps archers to enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition! Held every Saturday at 10:30 since 1974 our program has trained over 10,000 individuals.
TEXAS SENIOR GAMES - ARCHERY
The Texas Senior Games are a group of spirited competitions whereby senior athletes compete in more than twenty different sports categories, ranging from Pickleball to tennis, track and volleyball, and more. Athletes, including men and women ages fifty and over compete in five-year age increments. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in each category. Viking Archey is honored to host the archery competition for these games.
